The highly anticipated The ITIL® Experience: 67 Real Life Remarkable ITIL® Experiences book has been released this week to an excellent reception.
The first book of its kind, The ITIL® Experience is a collaboration between author Ivanka Menken, of The Art of Service, and coauthors who contributed their anecdotes, knowledge and personal experiences in ITIL® (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
Ivanka first put the call out for contributions in September 2009 and was blown away by the response.
“We knew we were onto a good idea, but the amount of responses we had was truly amazing,” Ivanka said. “The stories we received were incredibly varied and interesting.
“The contributors come from all over the world, so the book is really a fantastic cross-section of how ITIL® is perceived, and how it is being integrated into workplaces globally.”
The topics covered include competitiveness, Change Management, improving the value of your business, personal improvement, employment opportunities, metrics, service as an art, and amazing stories of success through studying and implementing ITIL®.
With the buzz surrounding this book, a second edition is already in the works.
“There are so many people who still want to share their stories. Reading real life stories from your peers is one of the best ways to learn.
“If you are using ITIL®, it’s fascinating to learn how others are implementing it. If you are contemplating using ITIL®, it is a great introduction to the benefits and applications on offer.”
The ITIL® Experience: 67 Real Life Remarkable ITIL® Experiences is available now through The Art of Service, Amazon, and other quality retailers.
