Excellent value, February 23, By M. Thompson (UK)

I purchased this book so I could study for the ITIL® V3 foundation at home after being made redundant. I found the combination of the study guide and online course really helped the concepts sink in. The format was easy to fit into my schedule, without having to block out 3 whole days for a formal course. Several comments say that this book is not enough, but I passed with an 87% score. If you are having to fund this qualification yourself, I would recommend you buy this book.

Very Well Written, May 11, By Daniel A. Chaveco “ocsid” (Pompton Lakes, NJ)

This book was excellent and completly aided in my passing of the actual exam. The online prep exam was great and provided the right atmosphere. I had taken an online course through Mindleaders but it was not that good and was just hung up on bullet points. If it had been structured more like this book it would have been much better. If you’re looking to pass the ITIL® 3 Foundation, look no further. It includes real life examples and suggestions for when you actually may need to develop a service on your own.

ITIL v3 Managing Across the Lifecycle The Art of Service elearning – 5 star customer review

ITIL® is our enterprise standard for measuring IT activities and services. We started using ITIL® V3 nomenclature to break up our IT operational expenses starting 2006 onwards and our planners are gaining proficiency. We sent 50 of our directors and managers to ITIL® V3 Foundation 2 day workshop. Not sure how many of them ended up getting certification though. ITIL® is definitely a priority for our CIO but our training budgets are very limited for 2009. Hopefully, it will improve in 2010.

How can the program be improved?

This eCourse is done an excellent job of summarizing the five Service Life Cycle modules, gave good insights covering the overall Service Life Cycle. Job well done.

Summarize the program in your own words.

The course summarizes the five Service Life Cycle modules – Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement – excellently. It reviews the overall implementation approach at service life cycle level, including tools specific at that level such as Service Portfolio Management tools. I liked the contract of the service life cycle level tools against specific tools that support individual service life cycle phases.

ITIL V3 Foundation Complete Certification, June 6, By J. Weaver

This is an excellent product once you get the hang of using the study guide in conjunction with the online lectures to reinforce the material.I just started but I expect the practice questions will be good preparation for the types of questions to be asked on the certification exam.

Love itWould Like to See Graphics, May 10, By Lady Book “The Hud” (SF Bay Area)

The course is excellent. Easy to review and follow. Information is timely and very helpful for business application. I use the Kindle for several books (makes it easy to carry materials). However, the Kindle graphics leave a lot to be desired. Strongly recommend that you review the online content at The Art of Service Online Learning and add screen prints to your learning library (if using Kindle).

Excelleent Introduction, September 10, By Mr. A. S. Cummings (UK)

Excellent Introduction to the V3 Subject but the content may seem a little bit ‘thin’ if you don’t have experience in ITIL® as a framework. The on-line training that accompanies the book allows you to easily assimilate the information required to pass the V3 foundation. The ability to ‘book’ a web-based V3 exam on-line is a bonus as well !
