In my position, I have been charged with creating a functional IT Service Organization from the the ground up. Separation of function, accountability, change management and change configuration have been combined for years, and now must be changed to conform to accepted practice and the regimentation required to provide continued service in the most effective and functional way with minimal down time and disruption. The ITIL® v3 Foundation Certification kit has provided me with the ground level view of the ITIL® processes, allowing me to gain an understanding of the concepts involved, and helped to point me to resources that I will need to engage to bring about the discipline and change in the future. I would recommend this to anyone needing to understand the basis of ITIL®v3, and certainly to those who wish to proceed to certification in the Foundations area and beyond.
