ITIL Foundation learning the pleasant way, May 13, By Roderick Burns (Hertfordshire, UK)

This is an up to date structured learning course delivered over the Internet with written backup containing more detail to enhance the on-line material. The on-line material is clearly presented in a logical fashion and in easily digestible chunks, a considerable advantage given the subject, as it is hardly a laugh a minute stuff. The presentations are clear and the spoken commentary is quite easy listening (apart from a bit of background noise – sounds like cooling fans in PC) especially the female voice which is slower and more deliberate. There are ongoing multiple choice quizzes to test understanding of the various sections. It is possible to pause at any point, or leave and return at a later date. The written material presents pretty much the same content as the on-line presentations but it is good to be able to review what you’ve been told without the relentless pace of the on-line presentation.I have not yet attempted the examination that I am preparing for with this course, but I do feel I am learning and putting an ITIL® structure around my previous experience. I am confident that the course is preparing me for adopting the ITIL® methodologies and for the exam.
